Sending a note is a request for a private conversation. It is not an appointment, diagnosis, or treatment agreement.
No treatment relationship
A reply or a consultation does not create a psychologist–client relationship. That begins only after informed consent and an agreement to work together.
No emergency duty
Notes may be read on business days. There is no coverage between a note and a reply. Use 911 or 988 when safety is in question.
