This practice does not bill insurance. Fees are stated in the first conversation, in writing, before any ongoing work begins.
The frame
- Sitting lengths typically: 50 · 80 · longer.
- Optional regular cadence once the work is underway.
- Payment at the time of service unless another arrangement is written.
Why private-pay
Insurance billing creates a clinical paper trail, including diagnosis codes. For some people that is not an acceptable way in. Private-pay is the structure of this practice.
Estimates
Self-pay clients may request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. A superbill, if it is appropriate for you to submit to a plan, is discussed up front. Reimbursement is never guaranteed. This practice does not bill insurance.
Cancellation
Twenty-four hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancels and missed sessions are billed at the session rate. The exact policy is confirmed in writing before the first session.
